The Arts Professional Learning Institute (APLI) is available for those who live and/or work within the state of New Jersey and have a variety of experiences in arts education - beginner through expert. Applicants should have a willingness to learn, grow, and reflect. The design of the program relies on participants to be active collaborators who aim to grow their understanding of inclusive and progressive arts education and who are actively working to help design the program for future fellows.

APLI welcomes candidates of all art forms (visual, performing, literary) and backgrounds (race, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or veteran status).

Applicants can apply as a teaching artist or school educator. A school educator is defined as an arts specialist (classroom music teachers, visual arts teachers, drama teachers, etc.), classroom educator, inclusion and special education teacher, or school/department administrator. Applicants who have an existing relationship with a teaching artist/school are encouraged to apply as a two-person team.

Applicants should have at least 1 - 5 years of experience in the field of education or arts education. Former APLI Fellows will be welcome to apply, however priority will be placed on new applications.

Applications are due by Monday, November 27, 2023.
